Screen Dance International (SDI) was founded by Joanna McNamara, JMC/Productions and is a traveling screendance festival that highlights a wide range of dance genres including: urban street dance, postmodern and contemporary dance, world dance, ballet, dance theatre, jazz, tap, animation and experimental dance.

This year, Screen Dance International is partnering with ArtLab J in presenting screendance shorts from artists around the globe during the Detroit Dance City Festival on August 10, 2018. The work will be presented at the Detroit Institute of Arts. 2018 marks Detroit Dance City Festival’s third annual dance film festival, originally founded and curated by Marcus White (White/Werx).
