Our admission-free presenting programs offer multiple entry points for diverse audiences of both first-time dance viewers and long-time dance patrons, through a wide variety of free performances, participatory activities and discussion forums. Dancers’ Group Presents highlights the wide range of forms and styles within the country’s second largest and arguably most diverse dance community.
Bay Area Dance Week
A 10-day festival of free public dance events, which takes place in April of each year. As a celebration of our local dance community’s extraordinary diversity, Bay Area Dance Week provides an opportunity for dance-lovers of all ages and experience-levels to take a grand tour of the many movement styles, including Argentine tango, classical Indian, jazz, hip hop, ballet, traditional hula, fire dance, Samba, modern, Chinese classical, belly dance, aerial dance, West African, contact improvisation and more.
Dance Discourse Project
A series of recorded discussions between members of the dance community around relevant topics in the field.
Rotunda Dance Series
Free public performances at SF City Hall on the first Friday of the month, presented in partnership with World Arts West, San Francisco Grants for the Arts and San Francisco City Hall.
A series of free site-specific performances enabling outstanding local choreographers to create new work and reach out to larger and more diverse audiences.
