Dancers’ Group has a flexible membership system for any budget. As a member of Dancers’ Group, you have access to up to the minute information on grants, auditions, performance and choreographic opportunities, as well as access to discounts. Dancers’ Group’s Fiscal Sponsorship Program provides administrative support and guidance to choreographers and dance organizations, working in a variety of disciplines, so that they may produce community and performance projects; and ensures funding agencies and contributors that donations and grants received on behalf of the artists/projects are well-managed and funds are disbursed according to the grant proposal and their guidelines. A comprehensive, state-of-the-art, searchable database of performing arts venues and facilities in the greater Bay Area for classes, workshops, auditions, rehearsals and even performances.
California Dance Network
A network of dance contacts and events throughout the state.
A grants program designed by artists for artists to support professionally oriented theatre and dance artists and small companies with budgets under $100,000. Its purpose is to spark a creative surge throughout Northern California’s theatre and dance community by providing grants to artists ($2,000) and small-sized organizations ($4,000).

Della Davidson Prize
The prize honors the life and work of choreographer and teacher Della Davidson, by supporting innovative dance and dance/theater artists in the form of an annual prize of at least $1,500.
DG Weekly Ebulletin
Once a week, Dancers’ Group sends out a comprehensive list of upcoming auditions, free events, job and intern notices, artist opportunities, local and community news and more to our 650+ members. Promote your events and news for free in the DG Weekly.
The Bay Area’s monthly publication dedicated to dance, In Dance, is known for its engaging interviews with local and visiting artists, articles that explore everything from how to tour your work abroad to activism in art, and an extensive calendar of Bay Area dance events.
Lighting Artists in Dance Award
A grant program that supports lighting designers working in the field of dance. This program engages and supports the development of emerging, mid-career and established Bay Area lighting designers working in partnership with a choreographer or dance company towards the presentation of a public performance.
Delivery of postcards to Bay Area studios, theaters and local businesses that support dance.
Public Relations Guide & Media Contact List
The Guide contains tips; examples of calendar and press releases; insider press and marketing information; the most common publicity mistakes; ways to approach editors for story pitches; and more. Dancers’ Group has compiled a comprehensive Bay Area Media Contact List, which contains contact info of calendar editors and writers, local and national publications, radio stations and television channels.
Dancers’ Group occasionally undertakes research projects as a service to the San Francisco Bay Area dance field, its artists, funders and other stakeholders.
