BBT’s Artist-in-Residence offers: 60 hours of complimentary studio time, discounted studio rental time, discounted Adult Open Division class credits, two in-studio showings at BBT, and general promotion within the BBT community.
Application will include: An artist or company resumé or curriculum vitae; biography (maximum 300 words); cover letter that (a) demonstrates engagement with contemporary performance arts practices; (b) outlines a detailed project proposal for the development and performance of new work; (c) demonstrates an intent to perform for other communities and spaces in the future; (d) demonstrate interest in the Berkeley Ballet Theater community and explain how making work in this community would benefit the process; a selection of work samples including (a) a minimum of five minutes of video and (b) three high-definition images.
