See more: community , free

A weekly vocal class designed to refresh, reset and rehabilitate voices with singing as a means for healing, relief and activism. It was developed and is presented by Cat Call Choir’s resident vocal coach, Adrienne Shamszad. If you have a desire or a need to communicate your truth out loud in a way that feels good, this is the class for you. You will learn a mixture of techniques, warm-ups and melodies that encourage self-love, self-acceptance, courage and confidence.

An Oakland native of Iranian heritage, Adrienne is a singer, songwriter, and multidisciplinary performer who guides people through the complex waters of vocal development. She views the process of “learning how to sing” as a path of “learning to be at ease with oneself” and is actively engaged in empowering people with the skills they need to use their unique voices to sing, and speak their truth with power, beauty and wisdom.
