Disabled choreographers based in the United States are encouraged to apply to the Lab, which offers an 8-day inclusive environment where established, disabled artist/mentors guide their peers to challenge boundaries and create perception changing art. The Lab provides professional development in addition to the space, dancers, and administrative support for every choreographer. This opportunity also includes ongoing mentorship and professional development support in the months following the Lab.
This year’s Lab will be co-mentored by fellow Choreo-Lab alum Alice Sheppard, Artistic Director of Kinetic Light. Sheppard alongside Artistic Director Marc Brew will guide the four choreographers through the virtual experience.
Please note you will need a reliable computer and WiFi in order to participate in the Lab. In addition, you will need to be available for the full duration of the Lab. will be held virtually from May 5-14, 2021.
