The Santa Rosa Junior College’s Dance Program dance practitioner/instructor(s) in African Diaspora, Urban/Hip Hop and Latin dance with the skillset to drive SRJC dance to new heights.
Candidates should possess expertise in one or more of these genres:

  • African Diasporic dance forms such as Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Cuban, Afro- Brazilian and Afro- Haitian.
  • Urban/Hip Hop dance forms such as House, Popping/Locking, Funk, Up rock;
  • Latin Dance forms such as Bachata, Salsa, Merengue, Samba, Cha-Cha, Tango.

Applicant should possess a masters degree in dance and have two-five years working as a professional dancer, choreographer, or director. College or University teaching experience is preferred. The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service.
