Interns are an important part of the AKLB community. AKLB makes a commitment to providing project-based, meaningful work with a focus on career development for all interns. Participants will experience a broad overview of the organization through involvement with various special projects and events. Interns receive direct supervision and participate in regular check-ins with their on-site supervisor. Interns will work alongside AKLB staff and personnel to gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of our vibrant Dance Center, Teen Program, LINES Training Program, Summer Program, Community Programs, and BFA at Dominican University Program. The AKLB Internship focuses on developing a unique skill set centered around professional customer service, program development and coordination, event planning, marketing, and training in software such as MindBody and Quickbooks.
