Luna Dance Institute: Teacher as Creative Practitioner-Scholar: Democratizing Research Literature

Contributed By:  Luna Dance Institute

Arts, education, and social justice practitioners can use research literature to support their advocacy efforts, however, there is limited access to such literature outside of academic institutions. Teacher as Creative Practitioner Scholar: Democratizing Research Literature explores how to access and critically examine the body of literature in popular education databases and create pathways to one’s own inquiries.

This course is designed for the practitioner who engages in Action Research, advocacy, or extended study, as well as the university graduate student who seeks alternative ways to approach Lit Review.

Offered as a six-session (every other Saturday), synchronistic online course, practitioners will use literature to create individualized claims for an advocacy or research project of their choice.

Continued education credits available through Loyola Marymount University.
