QDF invites all 18+ LGBTQIA2S+ dance artists working in movement-based performance to apply to present new work at the FROLIC performances in early April 2026 in the Bay Area.
FROLIC is a professionally produced performance featuring 6 artists in one program:
-1 artist will be selected to present a 20-30 minute piece: $2200 commission + 25 hrs free rehearsal space
-2 artists will be selected to present an 8-12 minute piece: $1100 + 15 hrs free rehearsal space
-3 artists will be selected to present a 4-5 minute piece – $550 + 12 hrs free rehearsal space
Application Opens: Wednesday, October 8th
Deadline: Wednesday, November 5th, 11:59pm
Notification of Final Selection: Wednesday, November 19
