With 13 tap dancers and one acoustic bass player, Michelle Dorrance’s SOUNDspace strips tap dance down to its most raw basics—movement as pure music. Without the trappings of ornate set pieces or flashy costumes, the award-winning choreographer and her expert company, along with musician Gregory Richardson, explore the unique setting and acoustics of Zellerbach Playhouse in a collective celebration of rhythm, sound, and energy.
