Tchaikovsky’s ballet masterpiece The Nutcracker gets a fresh hip-hop remix as Peninsula Lively Arts brings the holiday favorite into the distant future with this delightful re-imagining by Artistic Director Stuck Sanders: with additional choreography from Alee Martinez. Pirouettes are replaced with popping, and Tchaikovsky’s iconic score gets a modern mashup in this innovative spin. Featuring national all-star dancers plus The Tribe and Poise’n, The Hip-Hop Nutcracker dazzles young and old at The San Mateo Performing Arts Center.
