SUMMARY:HALF: Featuring Labonee Mohanta & Anjali Nath
DESCRIPTION:“HALF\,” led by kathak dance exponents\, Labonee Mohanta and Anjali Nath\, is a visually stunning and rhythmically impressive production that explores self-discovery and duality. The dancers portray opposing forces reconciling the complexities of the self. \n“HALF” is both conceptually and mathematically sophisticated\, rooted in the intricate Indian classical rhythmic system. The use of rare half-beat time signatures illustrates the theme. The artists blend dynamic movement\, rapid-fire footwork\, and electrifying choreography to personify the conflicting facets of the inner self. \nShare:

DESCRIPTION:Foolish Fires takes its title from the will-o’-the-wisp—those mysterious lights said to lure travelers from familiar paths into the unknown. The evening comprises two new works that explore opposing forces: shadow and light\, certainty and ambiguity\, attraction and resistance.
