Oceánica Ballet: The Headless Horseman + Viva La Vida
A dancer in a red 18th century coat and full-head jack-o-lantern mask raises an axe overhead as dancers in translucent gray nightgowns swirl around him under eerie dappled lighting.

Two one-act story ballets come together in an evening of chills, humor, heart, and autumn festivity. Oceánica Ballet’s fall production features the tale of Ichabod and The Headless Horseman, adapted from Washington Irving’s classic “Legend of Sleepy Hollow;” and the original tale of Lucio and Lupita in Viva La Vida, a celebration of life inspired by Día de los Muertos.
This production contains creepy sounds and spooky puppetry which may affect very young children.
