How do we move from a perpetual stasis of survival to palpable thrivation? In a world that has forgotten its inherent responsibility to the earth and each other, ritual for thrivation no. 2 poses ancestral reverence, intergenerational healing, and urban-indigenous futurism as urgent and fundamental to alleviating our current climate crisis.

This ritual performance features choreography and artistic direction by Filipinx American interdisciplinary artist, SAMMAY Peñaflor Dizon, in collaboration with dance artists Danielle Galvez, Harold Albert Quiben Galvez, Jai Severson, and Tessa Nebrida, featuring a live music performance by queer Pinay neo-soul duo AstraLogik. 

On Saturday, June 11, we will also be hosting a community discussion on Re-imagining Araw ng Kalayaan, featuring SAMMAY, Nic Feliciano, and Mario “Nomi” De Mira.

Presented by ODC Theater as part of the State of Play Festival. Co-Presented by the API Cultural Center as part of the 25th Annual United States of Asian America Festival: Generations of Power.
