Since 1997, SpectorDance’s Choreographers Showcase has offered central coast audiences the chance to experience a variety of original, cutting-edge dance works. To date, we have presented over 500 dancemakers, both live and virtually, from around the state, nation and globe.

According to Fran Spector, Artistic Director and Founder of SpectorDance, “We are proud to announce the newest iteration of this exciting event- SpectorDance’s Choreographers Showcase Re-imagined! Dance That Makes a Difference! For the first time, our showcase will bring performances to the community that focus on the power of dance to inform, promote dialogue, and be a galvanizing vehicle for change.”

She adds, “We are thrilled to present this event at the scenic and inspiring Hidden Valley Music Seminars, an Institute of the Arts, in Carmel Valley, where participants are welcome to stay for a weekend-long residency. This event also gives local dancers and dance enthusiasts the opportunity to take master classes from visiting choreographers.”
