Online – Subversion, a progressive works development series with IncivilitySF
June 26, 2020 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
FreeIncivilitySF is an irreverent showcase of politically-inspired work from San Francisco’s underground. Subversion—our monthly development series—invites artists working with themes of social justice, community-empowerment, and political awakening to come try out new work/work-in-progress in front of a live audience. Each fourth Friday of the month we have four featured performances, plus an optional facilitated feedback session with the audience for those seeking input on their creations. Come be a part of the process and get incivil with us!
While we shelter-in-place, we’ll be trialing a new, virtual format, with featured performers and an open mic.
If you’d like to attend, either as a performer or as audience, we ask that you drop us a line at SFincivility@gmail.com for an invite and a Zoom link.
We’ll open the “doors” to performers at 7:30 to work out any technical issues and then let audience in at 7:50 on. We’ll lock the “doors” at 8:15–so if you don’t get an invite or you are late, watch us here on Facebook Live.
Co-curated by Sabrina Wenske of Naked Empire Bouffon Company, Nicole Gluckstern of EXIT Theatre, and Larry Bogad, Director of the Center for Tactical Performance, and co-founder of the Clown Army.
