SUMMARY:Filipino Folk Dance PUSHLab Performance Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Workshop participants will dive into Indigenous dance of The Philippines through a dance form that has risen in popularity. Pangalay/Igal/Pansak are dances that historically connect the Archipelago with other parts of Southeast Asia\, sharing similar movements and music showing us how dance connects across culture. Expect a short warm up\, skill based drills\, historical context and choreography!\nWednesdays from 11am-12pm for eight weeks\, beginning on August 12th – Performances Oct 3rd + 4th \nThe first 3 weeks you may drop-in\, afterwards full registration is required.
