DESCRIPTION:The Mary Sano Studio of Duncan Dancing presents the 29th Annual Dionysian Festival\, a celebration of dance/music in commemoration of Isadora Duncan’s birthday. The program includes work from LA based composer/pianist Tony Sano Chapman\, Bay Area Flamenco dancer Koko de la Isla with guitarist Ricardo Diaz\, composer Merrill Collins. This year Sarod player Steven Oda with Bill Witter on Tabla and Pushpa Oda on Tanpura will play North Indian music. Mary Sano and dancers perform from Duncan repertoire as well as Sano’s original pieces accompanied by classical pianist Mutsuko Dohi and Tony Chapman.
