Participatory Scoring and Open House

April 28 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

The Performance Lab, which began under legendary dancer Anna Halprin, will open up its weekly practice to anyone who wants to witness or participate. For over 12 years, we have been creating movement scores using the RSVP Cycles, a method developed by Anna and her husband, Lawrence, for simultaneously generating and evolving creative work. Drawing from specific intentions and activities, each score makes meaningful movement out of our lives and the world around us. Come join us to move, learn about and create scores, and have fun! No experience needed.

Two people dressed in red tops with black pants swirl long red scarves over their heads, so that the scarves seem suspended in the air. In front of them on the floor is a long white paper with red objects on top.
