May Day Morris at Inspiration Point

FreeEvery morning on May Day, the Morris dance teams all over the world are up at dawn to dance the sun up. Your own local Berkeley Morris team has maintained this fine tradition for over 40 years and will be at Inspiration Point at Tilden Park in Berkeley in the pre-dawn darkness to summon the spirit of spring. It’s a spectacle! If we succeed in bidding the sun over the horizon at 6:09 am that will be followed by some group dancing and singing for the assembled crowd. https://berkeleymorris.org/performances/. This is a free event. The parking lot at Inspiration Point will be full long before dawn, so get there early. Sunrise is at 6:09.
Location Tips
The parking lot will be full long before sunrise at 6:09. Park along the road. Please don't pull into the parking lot at 6:08 and blind everyone with your headlights, because that's where we'll be dancing.
