Every morning on May Day, the Morris dance teams all over the world are up at dawn to dance the sun up. Your own local Berkeley Morris team has maintained this fine tradition for over 40 years and will be at Inspiration Point at Tilden Park in Berkeley in the pre-dawn darkness to summon the spirit of spring. It’s a spectacle! Norwegian Folk Music and Dance Party!
Free folk dance party with live music, hosted by the Nordahl Grieg Leikarring og Spelemannslag.
Join us for an evening of Nordic dance and music. We’ll teach easy and intermediate dances that include change-partner dances, figure dances, and couple dances. The live music will carry you along with the spirit of the dance. Stay a few minutes afterwards to enjoy some snacks and beverages.
No prior dance experience is needed. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement, and please bring closed-toe shoes that are not used for heavy-duty outdoor use.

Saratoga International Folk Dancers FREE Dance Session
The Saratoga International Folk Dancers are participating in Bay Area Dance Week by sponsoring a FREE evening of dance.
There will be lots of fun, easy-to-follow dances for all ages. You’ll dance to music from all over the world – from Japan to Bulgaria, from Brazil to Serbia, from Poland to Turkey.
Put on your tennis shoes or low-heeled dance shoes, and wear layered clothing because you’ll probably get warm from all the dancing.
