About: Eric Garcia
Eric Garcia (aka Churro Nomi) is a Cuban American devised theater maker, drag artist, and Co–Artistic Director of Detour Productions. Based in San Francisco, they co-produce the monthly drag cabaret Clutch The Pearls, collaborate with UNA Productions, and create commissioned work for companies and universities. Eric also serves as Managing Director for Fresh Meat Productions and the SF Transgender Film Festival. Their practice — spanning directing, performing, producing, and teaching — is rooted in a deep love for the Bay Area performance community.
