Justin Ebrahemi
As CounterPulse’s Director of Communications & Advancement, Justin Ebrahemi designs strategic marketing activities to tell the story of CounterPulse’s compelling mission and work. He holds a B.A. in Journalism from CSU Monterey Bay and M.A. in Environment & Community from Humboldt State University. He works closely with artists to create compelling content on their artistic process, while his background in social science research spearheads the organization’s analytics. Justin has leveraged his background in environmental justice and journalism to his position at CounterPulse, where he works to center the narratives of BIPOC artists through collaborative communications work. Justin launched and hosts CounterPulse's Open Stage program which provides a free platform for Tenderloin residents and children to perform, and his grassroots outreach strategies enhances arts accessibility for the organization's Tenderloin neighbors. As a writer, his works have been published in InDance and SFMOMA’s Open Space platform, in addition to a book of poetry.
