$25A wild romp through the annals of the mind of local micro-legend and macro-diva Pangaea. Step inside her ever-expanding universe as she wiggles through music, movement, and stories both true and questionably true. Expect spectacle. Expect feelings. Expect the unexpected. Join her for an evening where reality loosens its hips.
DJ ori diwa is the DJ moniker of choreographer, performance artist, and curator jose e. abad. Their sound hybridizes rhythms and styles influenced by their global travels, queer nightlife, and ancestral lineages.
Pangaea, a six-foot-tall mixed black trans woman, sits confidently on a barstool in a dim nightclub, surrounded by an intimate audience. She wears a bright yellow string bikini and dramatic blue… makeup. She has enormous textured curly ponytails. Holding a large metal mixing bowl, she eats from it mid-performance, a bit of food spilled across her body, adding playful, messy drag-show camp. The
crowd watches with curiosity and amusement, drinks scattered on small tables as venue signs and low lighting set a gritty, late-night atmosphere.
