Mother of Pearl Pageant 2026 kicks off with Round 1!
Ten Bay Area drag artists take the stage for a night of individual performances and collaborative group numbers. By the end of the evening, four contestants are eliminated, and six advance to the final round in May—bringing them one step closer to the Mother of Pearl crown.
Ten performers stand in dramatic silhouette under a bright spotlight, their bodies backlit and faces hidden. The figures vary in shape, size, and styling, suggesting drag queens and kings together… onstage. Soft, underwater-inspired light and floating shapes create a sense of mystery and anticipation.
