In the innovative Queer contemporary dance-performance piece, Snowflake Calvert, collaborates with a diverse and multigenerational cast to explore the complexities of land acknowledgments from an Indigenous viewpoint. The performance delves into human existence from 40,000 to 180,000 years ago, reimagining love stories between Homo Sapiens and Neanderthals from Queer and Trans perspectives. Neanderthal Land Acknowledgement invites audiences to rethink their connection to land and ancestors through a captivating and satirical journey.
