This workshop will explore how the three movement influences behind reggaetón – dancehall, salsa, and hip hop – came together to build this dance form. Participants will learn a fun ‘mashup’ routine that showcases each of these influences. The 1st half of the workshop will be dedicated to building choreography; the 2nd half will focus on performance style and giving each participant mentorship based on their individual goals. This is an 8-week series. Drop-ins are allowed for the first 2 classes. The performance on Nov 16 at The Great Star Theatre (S.F.) is encouraged, but not mandatory.
