The Mary Sano Studio of Duncan Dancing presents the 28th Annual Dionysian Festival, a celebration of dance and music in commemoration of Isadora Duncan’s birthday. The program includes both solo and collaborative original work from LA based composer/pianist Tony Chapman, Bay Area Butoh dancer Megan Nicely, modern dancer Courtney Ramm and others. Cellist Scott Thompson will play solo and with pianists collaborating with dancers. Mary Sano and her group perform from the traditional Duncan repertoire Brahms/Chopin as well as Sano’s original pieces accompanied by classical pianist Mutsuko Dohi.
