The Eye of Horus was a series of site-specific solos choreographed and directed by Sara Shelton Mann in collaboration with performers Christine Bonansea, Sherwood Chen, Jorge de Hoyos, Jesse Hewit and Sara Yassky with DIY elements designed by David Szlasa to interact with performer, cityscape and audience. Acclaimed choreographer and teacher Sara Shelton Mann is “an iconoclast who has performed to great acclaim and inspired others for decades” wrote San Francisco Bay Guardian critic Rita Felciano in an article awarding the artist a 2014 Goldie Lifetime Achievement Award. Conceived as both intensely intimate and as large-scale spectacle, this new work will re-envision San Francisco as a transformative space of visual movement. Presented in association with Yerba Buena Gardens Festival.
