In Dökk (“darkness” in Icelandic), created by Italian digital arts studio fuse*, art meets science as a spectacular digital landscape is created in real time. As a dancer travels through otherworldly environments created by software that synthesizes data from social media, the musical score, and sensors measuring the dancer’s heartbeat and movements, Dökk mirrors our mind’s process of interpreting colors, tastes, music, memories, and emotions to form our perception of reality.
