In Dance

As Close As Possible is a physical theater & dance performance. Erik Wagner directs and choreographs this evening length work with the help of brilliant collaborators: Jamielyn Duggan, Carolina Czechowska, Galen Rogers, & Augustin Beall.

Join us for the final installment of EMME YA: Expedition featuring a film with choreography by Raissa Simpson, filmmaker Jabreel Green, and composer jamil nasim. Performers include: Jeremy Brooks Ashley Gayle, Erik Raymond Lee, Terrence Paschal, Patrick Secrease, Ameia Smith, Danielle Smith

A suite of dances set to Mozart’s “Gran Partita” exploring themes of love, loss, and joyous remembrance. Rounding out the program is a restaging of the pandemic piece Seasons of Distance, originally conceived as a site-specific outdoor work and newly envisioned with immersive projections of nature imagery.

At Dan Wool’s studio, Florentina Mocanu, actor, recorded the text. At Pierce Point Ranch, Florentina, Liss, Matthew Antaky and director of photography Samir Arora filmed sequences for projection.
