Young Choreographers Forum SF is a mentoring program for dance makers ages 16-26 presented by Mark Foehringer Dance Project |SF. This forum is an opportunity for young choreographers to create dance works with the guidance and feedback from a panel of experienced Bay Area choreographers. This year’s panel includes, Kara Davis, Lizz Roman, Brian Fisher, Diane Frank, and Mark Foehringer. Since the inception of YCF 12 years ago, this forum has mentored over 90 choreographers several of which, have gone on to form their own companies and are working as dance makers today.
YCF consists of two mentoring sessions (Oct. 28 and Feb. 24), and one final showing (March 24th) where each choreographer presents their mentored work.
The panel will select 7 choreographers to participate in the forum.
