SFMOMA is looking for performers based in San Francisco Bay Area for the presentation of Alexandra Pirici’s “Re-collection” (2018-2024). “Re-collection” is a live, performative artwork that combines elements of dance, sculpture, spoken word, music, and performance. Built around the notion of a museum collection, yet subverts the traditional, modern understanding of “permanent collection.”
We are seeking professional performers of all ages, with a solid background in movement/ dance, and comfortable with using their voice (speaking in front of an audience, singing skills). They should also be interested in performing within the convention of an exhibition space and comfortable with different audience attention and movement.
