Groovement is about finding a sense of comfort and groove within the container of a structured dance class that emphasizes rhythm, musicality, and authentic expression. dana shares the movement that comes most naturally to her: a hybrid reinterpretation of her experiences dancing at home, in studios, and in clubs.

Class soundtrack spans Afro and soulful house, Afrobeats, hip-hop, R&B, jazz, reggae, and more.

Groovement is an Afrocentric, QTBIPOC-friendly, liberation-focused, hate-free, pro-love space. All levels, all ages welcome. Comfort with music and movement is helpful. Sweats or other danceable clothes and sneakers suggested.

You do not need to attend all three classes. Come as you’re able, as you are.
