San Francisco Youth Ballet is interviewing for the associate director position with the following responsibilities
1. TEACHING: intermediate & advanced students with guidance from the SFYBA syllabus
2. REHEARSING: setting choreography for the corps de ballet and coaching soloists and pas de deux roles
3. ADMINISTRATIVE: collaborating between the director and the children’s program teacher for performances and other studio activities
4. SCHEDULE: Friday evenings & Saturdays required, one weeknight flexible.
The best candidate
**is comfortable working around young children
**has professional ballet dancing experience and training
** has prior teaching experience
**sees ballet training as a life skill to develop and support well-rounded individuals.
