School Director
San Jose Dance Theatre seeks a full-time School Director to lead and oversee all aspects of the Academy program. Reporting to the Artistic Director, this role is responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, student placement and evaluations, faculty leadership, parent communication, enrollment growth, teacher recruitment, and school operations. The School Director serves as the primary liaison between families and faculty, ensuring a positive and supportive training environment. Additional responsibilities include teaching, supporting productions and rehearsals, leading outreach initiatives, collaborating on marketing and recruitment efforts, and helping advance SJDT’s mission. $60k annually plus benefits
Dance Teacher
Starlight Performing Arts Center, located in Downtown Pleasant Hill, is growing, and we’re looking for passionate and experienced Dance Teachers to join our team!
We are currently seeking instructors with experience in:
• Acro/Tumbling
• Tap
• Cheer
• Jazz
• Ballet
• Hip Hop
• Strength & Conditioning
You do not need experience in every style listed, but applicants must be acro/tumbling certified or have equivalent years of training and teaching experience. Bonus points if you are aerial certified and/or have experience teaching aerial arts, especially silks or lyra! We are ideally looking for teachers who feel comfortable working with students ages 3-18, from beginner through advanced levels.
Compensation:
$30 per 45-minute class
Additional admin hours available at $20/hr

San Jose Dance Theatre is seeking a passionate, engaging, and experienced ballet educator to serve as one of our Primary Division Ballet Teachers. This position is ideal for an educator who is deeply invested in building strong foundations for young dancers and becoming an integral member of the SJDT faculty. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping shape the future growth and vision of SJDT’s youth ballet program while contributing to the organization’s proud 60-year legacy.
Part-time position with additional hours available during production seasons
