New book: PEACE About Life: Dancing with Parkinson’s

Contributed By:  dNaga

See more: community

As part of her artistic process, Claudine Naganuma conducted interviews of people with PD and brought those audio interviews into the dance studio. Her intergenerational company of dNaga dancers listened to the interviews and then choreographed phrases together. Peace About Life compiles the gems of those interviews, sharing the wisdom of those living with Parkinson’s disease and professionals who care for them. After all, those are the people who know best how to grapple with it. The hope is that the book provides a better understanding of what it is like to live with the disease and offer assurances that we are not alone. The book is currently available at East Bay Book Sellers and Pegasus Books on College Avenue, as well as online at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
