Nadhi Thekkek & Rupy C. Tut

Nadhi Thekkek is the Artistic Director of Nava Dance Theatre, a San Francisco-based bharatanatyam dance company, and has performed nationally and internationally. She received her foundational bharatanatyam training from Gurus Sundara Swaminathan (San Jose), Padmini Chari (Houston) and A. Lakshmanaswamy (Chennai, India). Thekkek earned her PhD in Bioengineering from Rice University in 2013. nadhithekkek.com Rupy C. Tut is an Oakland based visual artist blending calligraphy and Indian miniature painting. Her work has been presented at major venues in Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Toronto. She received training in London at Prince’s School of Traditional Arts and designed her own unique calligraphy style which she incorporates into her paintings. Tut earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from UCLA and a Masters in Public Health from Loma Linda University. artbyrupy.com
