Gerson, who hails from La Ceiba, Honduras, discovered his passion for tap dance upon moving to New York City in 2001. Following a successful career in New York City, he has taught and performed both nationally and internationally. His choreographic contributions at Artist at the Center, led by Ayodele Casel, along with his work with the acclaimed company Music From the Sole, garnered significant recognition, including a feature in The New York Times in 2024. Gerson serves as a lecturer in the Theater and Dance Department at San Francisco State University.
