ChoreoTALK: A virtual gathering for choreographers around the topic of self production

FreeThis conversation will bring choreographers and/or company representatives from the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City together to discuss the self production model and what its strengths and weaknesses are. We will brainstorm ways in which the arrangements for presenting our work with performance venues might steer away from “space rentals” and towards a more equitable and affordable landscape for dance makers. The information generated at this gathering will be shared later (anonymously) with performance venues, culminating in a combined gathering of dance makers and venue operators.
