Escapement – Tether Dance Project’s Debut Evening-length Production

July 12 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Event Series (See All)
$25 – $50

Escapement, a debut evening-length production exploring influence and choice, performed and conceived by an emerging generation of dance artists. Choreographed by Teo Lin-Bianco, Tatianna Steiner, and Ella Wright, with contribution from the dance artists, the two-act work traces the inflection moment that redirected the trajectory of two lives forever—propelling one toward structure and the other into the unraveling of it. The production continues Tether Dance Project’s commitment to supporting emerging artists through paid professional opportunities and highlighting bold new creative voices.

Four dancers perform on a dark stage against a black backdrop. Two dancers sit upright on chairs facing opposite directions, while two others lie on the floor beneath and between them with their arms and legs extended upward. The performers wear muted contemporary clothing, and dramatic lighting highlights their faces and limbs, creating a tense, sculptural composition.
