Forest Footprints is a new dance and outdoor education program located in San Francisco parks created by Sophia Grimani. The program encourages children to explore their physical expression through dance and allows for creative exploration. Looking to nature for inspiration, we will move with the trees, flowers, and bugs! We will play, climb, twirl, tumble, wiggle, and giggle! I will be using my education/training in site specific, improvisation, contact improvisation, and butoh dance practices to create my own curriculum. Age groups will be split 5-7 and 8-10 and meet one day a week (2hrs) for a six week session ending with a showing for families and friends. Class will take place in Golden Gate, Buena Vista, Glen Canyon, Mclaren, or the Presidio.
