Introduction to Partnering Techniques and Contact Improvisation
Learn to dance with others in a playful and safe environment. In this six-week series, we will explore partnering techniques and the foundations of contact improvisation.
Classes happen on Fridays 6:30-7:45pm (Sept 25th-October 30th).
*The workshop culminates in a free jam for workshop participants, with the option for others to join on a donation basis. The jam will take place on the final day of class, October 30, from 7:45–9:00 PM.
No partner or experience needed.
$150 for the 6-week series.
On the right is a photograph of two dancers. A woman with short, dark, curly hair is smiling broadly toward the camera while leaning forward and sideways. She wears a loose multicolored plaid shirt in… pink, purple, blue, green, and orange, with teal pants. A man behind her, wearing a dark shirt, supports her body with his arms as they move together in a partnering position. Their bodies overlap,
emphasizing physical connection.
