“Sleeper Hit: Devising Characters for Dance Theater” with Moscelyne ParkeHarrison
June 22-26: This HATCHERY incubation workshop will explore the first scene of Moscelyne ParkeHarrison’s three-part sleeper hit, a piece that investigates the psychology of time and anticipation, and virtuosity as an expression of identity. Scene one centers on embodiment and character development through fashion. Working in collaboration with a stylist, this workshop will center fashion as an entry point into identity, presence, and performative selfhood. Ideal for dancers interested in embodied research and deepening their personal virtuosity through character, style, and self-expression.
