A curly-haired woman bites her lower lip and flashes a phone-hand gesture, her oversized face tearing across the collage. Her wink is almost confrontational. A ripped strip cuts through her torso,… revealing a crowded dance rehearsal in warm color beneath the black-and-white portraits. Behind her, a woman in narrow sunglasses peers over the tear like a stern chaperone, while a grinning figure in
a varsity jacket leans into the gap. The polka-dotted white field makes the torn paper look deliberately comic-bookish, and the tiny dancer sprawled across the bottom edge adds an absurd loose end.
