For one week only, Amy Seiwert's Imagery, a contemporary ballet company, offers on-demand access to the SKETCH 5 favorite: Starting Over at the End. In 2015, choreographers Amy Seiwert (Imagery) and KT Nelson (ODC) stirred things up by collaborating on a ballet with the Imagery dancers. They merged their styles while retaining their individual voices, negotiating and compromising to produce a piece, set to Schubert lieder, that pushes the dancers to blazing moments of high dexterity. Amy Seiwert’s Imagery presents the twelfth year of its SKETCH series, featuring new ballets by Artistic Director Amy Seiwert, Artistic Fellow Natasha Adorlee (ODC/Dance, Robert Moses' KIN), and Joshua L. Peugh (Founder, Artistic Director of Dark Circles Contemporary Dance, Las Cruces, NM). Each work will explore themes of nostalgia and examine new and better ways of making ballet.
