Bay Area Immersive Theater Makers Gathering: Performer Perspectives
October 26 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
FreeJoin Detour for a community conversation focused on the performer’s perspective in immersive, site-specific, and audience-interactive performance. Bay Area performers will discuss devising and building roles, working closely with audiences, improvisation, audience interaction, boundaries, and unpredictability, followed by an audience discussion.
Moderated by Alex Locust / Glamputee and Eric Garcia / Churro Nomi, with panelists Jo Williams, Ja’Moon Jones, Livanna Marissa Maislen, Ava Roy, Natalia Roberts, and Chris Steele aka Polly Amber Ross. Performers and non-performers alike are welcome.
In a dark performance space lit with red, pink, and blue light, one performer reaches both arms upward while another stands facing them, holding an object in their hands. A third performer stands in… the background among large geometric set pieces.
