Oakland Unified School District and Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, Kimberly Champion, will share about her recent trip to New Zealand and what she learned about Te Whāriki, their bicultural early childhood curriculum. She will discuss emergent curriculum and the “ness” of materials with strategies she learned, and how this has expanded her teaching. There will be time for questions and discussion.
