Filmmaking Masterclass: Behind the Sound & Music of “SO CLOSE”

November 7 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Free

The 2026 San Francisco Dance Film Festival is thrilled to offer a FREE masterclass by the sound/music team behind the short dance film, SO CLOSE.

Skywalker Sound’s Shelley Roden (Foley Artist) and Pete Horner (Sound Designer and Mixer) join SO CLOSE Composer-Director Katy Jarzebowski for an in-depth look at their distinctly musical collaboration. The team breaks down their process, from spotting the rough cut to shaping the final mix, and shares behind-the-scenes clips from the foley stage to show how character-driven sound design gets made.

Open to filmmakers and dance film fans alike!
